JR's GOURMET ALL NATURAL DRAGON FIRE TRI-TIP CHILI

Jerry (JR for Jerry Ray) decided to set up a booth and make his great tri-tip chili in this years Chili Cook-off at Conejo Creek Park on April 27th . . . and although he did not win anything, the long lines and feedback from return visitors (many multiple times) indicated he had the best chili at the event.  His very good friend Al Guerrero helped set up then Al and his wife Janice spent the entire day helping prepare and cook . . . without their help, Jerry would not have been done by the 10am opening or been able to keep up with demand . . . we ran out twice and still only made it to about 2pm.  We are talking about six (6) plus gallons of chili served one small cup at a time.

We found out later that you can do all the prep at home and just mix and heat on the day of the cook-off . . . we were wondering why everyone else was just relaxing and having coffee while we were busting our butts to get everything ready for the opening.  We just made it . . .
